HoundER Documentation
HoundER is a Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) platform. It discovers your organization's digital assets, continuously monitors them, and surfaces credentials, hosts, services, vulnerabilities, and exposed websites as findings.
This site covers:
- Platform — how to navigate the platform, manage assets, connect agents, and launch scans.
- API Reference — the customer-facing HTTP API for querying findings, available at
api.hounder.io.
Navigation
Once logged in to the platform, the left-hand menu is organized into:
- General — Dashboard and Map, giving you an overview of your organization's attack surface.
- Organization — Settings, Users, Roles, and API Keys for your account.
- Projects — the top-level container for your attack surface; where you scope everything else.
- Assets — the domains and network ranges HoundER monitors.
- Agents — connected
hagentinstances for scanning internal, non-public-facing targets. - Scans — on-demand and scheduled scans, plus templates and advanced settings.
- Reports — generated documents summarizing assets, findings, and scan results.
- Findings — Credentials, Hosts, Services, Vulnerabilities, and Websites discovered by HoundER.
- Workflows — automation rules that notify you by email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams when specific findings occur.
